Now we have seen everything – Tata Safari converted to a Range Rover Evoque

Every once in a while, we are stunned by the work presented by Indian tuners. Last time, we were stunned at the work of ExecutiveModcarTrends who converted an old Toyota Corolla into a Ferrari F430. Now, BigDaddyCustoms have converted a Tata Safari into a Range Rover Evoque.

Yes dear friends, under the reworked front fascia beats the heart of an old Tata Safari. The custom concept is christened ‘Moon Rover

It features:

  • An Evoque replica front bumper
  • Angel eyes for headlamps
  • LED daytime running lamps on the front bumper
  • Alloy wheels with some fat chunky rubber
  • A custom white paint job
  • New replica tail lamps
  • Quad exhaust with chrome tip

Yes, I know. I have seen a Range Rover Evoque in flesh and the Moon Rover is no where close to one. But I have full respect for the efforts. Moreover, the relationship between Tata Safari and Range Rover Evoque gives almost a philosophical touch to the story.

Head to BigDaddyCustoms facebook page to see some more images of the Moon Rover and show them some appreciation 🙂

Really good job done. TATA really think on TATA Safari STRORM which is more boring then original one. TATA ARIA is a super duper flop product. How management select and approve this types of design and take to production level? Which will not noly cuts their market share but also puts some questions on TATA’s product.

Nice job by BigDaddy. However the rear looks bulky and bland. It seems nothing can be done to TATA’s rear. Initially when I heard about TATA Safari Storme, I thought it to be bigger like Toyota Fortuner, thanks to their initial products like Indica Vista and Indigo Manza, which are bigger then normal Indica and Indigo. But rather it came out to be too plain and boring. Anyways, they are struggling to become premium brand. Hope they achieve it.

Tata should make this instead of the current Safari – it will sell like hotcakes! And whats the problem, they own range rover!!

AMAZING work!! As Mr. Rajat said, if an outsider can do so much, just think about what an OEM can do….

I guess Tata Motors is in hibernation mode at a time where multinational auto manufacturers are pouring in with their new launches.

I feel that Tata Motors is overhauling itself to face the heavy challenges in the market. But at the same time being hibernating at this time will severely affect it’s market share for the next two years.

For Tata Motors it’s a ‘Race against the Time’ now. It has to overhaul itself as soon as possible and launch its much awaited Next Generation set of SUVs, Utility Vehicles, Sedans, Hatchbacks and a car that stands between Vista and Nano.

Tata Motors needs two more years to regain it’s market position. I know two years in the current market scenario proves to be very costly for anyone, but this is not the End of the World and there is no death of innovation and evolution as long as human species thrives on the planet Earth.

It is in the Tata Business Equity and Brand Promotion agreement, laid by Tata Sons, that any Tata Company should try to be in the top 3 position and if any Tata Company fails to comply with the Tata BEBP agreement, then Tata Sons at it’s discretion has the right to ban the usage of Tata Name and Logo by that company.

I hope and wish Tata Motors will not ignore it’s Alternative Energy driven Vehicle projects while it is busy in regaining it’s market position.

Great job! It looks way cooler than grumpy Safari 😉

    Hats off to modders !

  8. Rajat says:

Amazing work on a safari. If an outsider can do wonders to the look of the vehicle. Dont know what stops Tata from giving a rebirth to a dated design. Even in this avatar safari can do wonders for Tatas Market share.

They say sooner or later your passion finds you. Sometime in late 2009, I started writing for IAB and ever since then it has been a roller coaster ride for me. An amazing experience that has taught me a lot, taken me to new places, driven some great cars and met some amazing people. When you don't find me on IAB (very rarely), you will find me either at a coffee shop or an eatery or at the nearest gadget store.Hope you enjoy IAB as much as we do!
