We can bring you a montage of new pics of the Enjoy MPV from Chevrolet’s future stable thanks to Indian Autos Blog superfan Varun Kulkarni. This is Varun’s second set after he brought us closer to the Sail hatch from Pune last week.

Chevrolet Enjoy test mule

For those who are not well versed with this product, the Chevrolet Enjoy is the outcome of the JV between General Motors and Chinese stalwart SAIC. It is presented as the Wuling HongGuang in the Chinese market, a 3 row MPV that shares several mechanical components with the Sail twins, which will also be made available in India in 2012.

The pics suggest that the test mule could be a mid-variant as it lacks fog lamps, body coloured mirrors, spoiler and alloy wheels that were present on the concept exhibited at the Delhi Auto Expo.

From the outside, the vehicle is completely identical to what has been shown at the Auto Expo. We wonder why GM India were using camouflage on mules after the Auto Expo reveal.

The dash on this variant is beige with black inlays

Inside the Enjoy bears a very basic beige interior with few parts treated with a dull gray. We can expect faux wood panels on the high-end variant’s dashboard though we’re not fully certain.

GM India will have to market the Enjoy's vast interior as it is its biggest strength

The Enjoy is expected to ride very smoothly as the magicians at Lotus Engineering have fine tuned the suspension. All variants are expected to have a 2+3+3 configuration. The front and middle row seats get height-adjustable headrests while the last row passengers have been deprived of this feature.

The rear-most bench missed out on height-adjustable head rests

Boot space is limited, as it can be seen from the pics, though there seems to be adequate room even for the 3rd row occupants. Space is certainly one of the marketing highlights for the Enjoy.

The 1.3L SMARTECH engine (Fiat Multi-jet in a different calibration) would be carrying out the duty of providing the firepower.

Chevrolet will have to price this product very competitively if they have to repeat the success of the Chevrolet Tavera. We expect the unexpected when it comes to pricing with the Enjoy as the car does not have any signs of being a premium or feature-rich model. Is it possible that the Enjoy can lock horns with the Tata Venture?

Update –

Chevrolet Enjoy test mule base variant
This mule spotted by Atkins has an all-black interior and sits on alloy wheels.

Just as we were about to post these images, our newsletter subscriber Atkins Cheeran passes on an image of another Enjoy mule with full black interior. Ironically this car has alloy wheels and body-colored side mirrors. Does all-black translate into premium for GM India?
