Tata Motors was supposed to send out a press release today consisting of prices and officially launch the Vista refresh, but for reasons unknown it decided to postpone the launch by a day or two.
Tata will launch the Vista refresh tomorrow or day after but bookings have kicked off at dealerships and the brochure has been provided to the media. The initial deposit is between 10-50k rupees and depends on the dealer.
While there has been a lot of new hatchbacks in the market and at least two brand new models expected by the Auto Expo, the existing cars have to receive and nip and tuck to stay awake and play rivals to the fresh arrivals. Tata has finished the Vista with chrome and two new colors (blue and yellow). It has added steering-mounted controls as well.
You can read our previous post discussing the entire list of cosmetic and technical changes to know more.
This post consists of the three videos (front-end, rear and interiors) of the new Vista. It sports a new dashboard texture, the Manza’s nose and plastic trim along with new nomenclature at its rear.

It has got all the features , has a good diesel engine, drives well,is gud on space and is priced well too. indica can look gud with all the make-up. There have been issues with interior cabin quality and materials used plus indica tag has been associated with taxis plus it has permanent long tail lamps. If one can compromise on that… it’ll sell..
Dear Manu,
Now a days customers don’t want to compromise when there are good quality products available at same price. Thanks to competition and options available.
Tata has to re-design the India Vista and make it look good. Agreed that the interior space is better than other models available in the same range. But space alone won’t convince the customers. Price, Quality, Durability, After Sales Service, Spare parts, Maintenance, etc which all matters to make a product successfull.
First of all Tata should try to bring the instrument cluster to it’s actual position ( in front of the driver ) rather than keeping it in center. Don’t understand who that great engineer / designer in Tata is who came up with such a stupid idea.
Those Tall back lamps look ugly, though tata advertises it proudly.
It is time Tata brings in good and young engineers to design their products by keeping space ( leg room, knee room, head room, shoulder room for both front and back passengers ), storage space, quality interiors and exteriors, driving comfort, boot space, ground clearance ( Indian roads ) and other features as primary focus. At the same time not to cross the line by making their products look radical. Design should be decent and acceptable to Indian customers.
