Hyundai provided the new Verna to a select group of Indian journalists last week to review. Series production of the new Verna at the Chennai factory could begin on 15th April for an early May launch.
BSMotoring.com is reporting fuel economy figures for the new Hyundai Verna on its website -
1.4 Liter Petrol: 17.43 Kmpl
1.4 Liter CRDI Diesel: 23.5 Kmpl
1.6 Liter Petrol: 17.01 Kmpl
1.6 Liter CRDI Diesel: 22.32 Kmpl
Like Indian Autos Blog first speculated, the new Verna comes with 4 engine options and will offer automatic transmission on select variants.
The top-end variant will have the following features, BSM adds -

- Electronically folding Rear View Mirrors
- Rear Camera with screen on inner rear view mirror
- Rear seat armrest
- Cooled Glove box
- 16 Inch alloys
- Parking Sensors
- 6 Airbags
- Integrated 2 DIN Audio
- Steering Mounted Audio Controls
