Contrary to reports on the Indian media of the Brio debuting here on the 17th, Honda has announced that the production-ready vehicle will be showcased in Thailand on the same day.
Honda will use the services of two local film stars to endorse the Brio. The unveiling ceremony will take place at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Thailand, AutoinCar points out.
We're expecting the Brio to debut in India just before or during the festive season. The Brio will be powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine from the Jazz. A 900cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine lacking VTEC is said to be in the pipeline.
The Brio will compete with the likes of the Nissan Micra, Chevrolet Beat, Toyota Etios Liva, Tata Indica Vista and the Suzuki Swift. The Brio's pricing has to be well thought out or else it'll be drowned out in the noise of new launches and competition.
