General Motors’ iconic budget friendly muscle car – The Chevrolet Camaro is all set for an India entry. The car was first displayed in India at the Delhi Auto Expo, but at that time it was just a ‘Show Car’ and the company had no plans to get it over here.

Looking at the pace of growth of the Indian automotive market, the company has changed its mind and will be getting the Camaro by mid 2011. Although the company did not comment anything on the price, it is safe to say that because the car will come as a CBU it will cost twice as much as in the US. So we are expecting a price tag of around 35 lakh.

When the Chevrolet Camaro makes it to India, it will be the most expensive offering from the company. And who knows may be the Autobot Edition will follow suit
