Moments ago, Mahindra sent an email inviting us to the launch of their “Next Generation Small Commercial Vehicle” on the 27th of January. We’re sure this is nothing but the Xylo pickup truck we spoke on ten minutes ago.
The Xylo pickups will be offered in 2 forms – single and dual cab. There is little doubt on the powertrain option – the 2.5-liter mDI engine producing 95bhp power and 220Nm torque. There could be a change to the engine’s specifications, but expect nothing incredibly different.

The Xylo pickups will be positioned above the currently running Bolero pickup truck. Mahindra could contemplate on a lifestyle edition sporting the 2.2-liter mHawk engine and well appointed interiors, but that for now is us day dreaming.
