The latest addition to Audi’ off-roader line-up, will look rugged, curvy, stylish, raw and smashing!
The Audi Q3 will be the third in the line of Q cars, the fourth Q1 will come in the middle of the next decade. The Audi Q3 will be the newly launched X1’s rival, it will be part of the all-new market segment that belong to budget SUVs.
The preliminary Q3 concept was displayed at the 2007 Shanghai Motor Show, the production car will take a big share of its design from the concept, but expect something more practical and die-friendly.
The chassis of the Q3 will come from VW’s Tiguan, which we are expecting in India in the near future. The Q3 will be a small off-road wonder, its 4WD system promises a great deal. The 2WD system will also be part of the line-up.
A 2.0-litre TDI turbodiesel with either 138bhp or 168bhp, as well as the 2.0-litre TFSI from the Golf GTI with up to 207bhp, filtered through either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG gearbox is rumored to be in the works.
Exciting – Audi would show another Q3 concept that is closer to the production model anytime in 2010.
