The new small car by Chevrolet is to be launched in December this year and the company has export plans in mind as well.

GM has officially announced that around 15% of the volumes will be exported to various other countries, which they have not yet identified. However, this will happen only after the demand in India is met and only in 2011.

Chevrolet sold around 32,000 Sparks last year, the company was expecting a growth and as expected there is a noted growth of around 28%. The proposed mini car would be slotted just above the Spark.

Test mules of GM’s new mini car have been spied across India. Going by the spy shots, it would be called the Matiz Groove in Korea. The naming convention GM will follow here in India is anyone’s guess.
