The gadgets category is getting interesting by the day. Last time we got you tire pressure indicators which have utility values of calculators. Today we’re featuring solar-powered keychain which will be of interest to all of you reading this article.

As the name suggests, this solar powered keychain uses the energy radiated by the sun to charge its cells.

It stores the energy which can later be utilized to charge your mobile phone and iPod. Cameras, PDAs and portable games consoles can also be energized with use of this eco-friendly and handy gadget.

The solar powered keychain takes about 10hrs to get to its full capacity. It might be able to extend your phone conversation by only about 15 minutes, but think of it this way- How many times have you been in a situation where you desperately needed to make a call but had no battery charge to do it?

Coming to terms with it, I feel this is more of a safety device than a fun accessory.

Supplementary objects free with the solar powered keychain

1x Mini USB Adapter
2x Nokia Adapter
1x Samsung Adapter
1x Sony Erikson Adapter
1 x LG Adapter
1x USB Charging Cable

You can buy one for £14.95 at Firebox

I’m running Google searches on a number of keywords – one of them being Keychains and I came across this post in my reader. I thought it was a pretty cool find. I have written a quick write up over on our site – you can see it here:

I have of course referenced your blog and linked back to your site.

Thank you and best of luck with your site and the new Nano!

    Best wishes
