Tuners RUF have modified two Porsches and exhibited them at this year’s Geneva Motor Show- a Cayenne receives a visual makeover and powerful engine, and a 911 targa is gifted an electric powertrain, courtesy Siemens.

RUF Dakara based on Porsche Cayenne

The tuned Porsche Cayenne, referred to as the RUF Dakara, outputs a massive 890 Nm at 3000 rpm and 600 PS at 6000 rpm. 100 Km/h from a standstill is reached in 4.8 sec. 22 inch-five spoke wheels neighbored by bigger fenders and leather interiors are new additions.

RUF Greenster based on 911 Targa Image Gallery

eDrive from Siemens equips the Porsche 911 Targa referred to as the RUF Greenster, with 270 kW of power and 950 Nm torque. The electrical system is capable of being recharged in less than an hour at a 400-volt power outlet and is expected to appear on roads in 2010.

    Hey Jazz,

    Just to be clear, the Greenster isn't a modification of a 911 Targa for the simple reason that no such car exists :-) In other words, Ruf created this car completely on their own and used the 911 Carerra Coupe as the platform and took design cues from the original Porsche Targa of the late 1960s.
