allaguida.it is reporting that a new variant of the Dacia/Renault Sandero with a 1200cc petrol engine will be launched in the month of June in Italy.
The Renault Sandero is expected to arrive in India by 2010 and this announcement is important to us, as a 1,200cc engine will definitely be offered on the Indian version to take advantage of excise benefits.
The Renault Sandero is a hatchback based on the Logan.
The 1200cc engine will have 16 valves and will produce no less that 75 hp. The car is said to return 17 kmpl (on a combined cycle) and will emit 139 gram/km of CO2.
Expected price of this model will be around 8,000 Euros. We can expect this car to be priced around 3.75-4 lakh rupees, when it arrives in India.
