German auto component giant Bosch will be supplying its latest petrol engine technologies and security systems to Tata Nano. The company will be providing petrol fuel injection system, supplying pumps, starter motor, alternator, glow park, common rail systems, and brake system to Nano from its Naganathapura plant in Karnataka.
"We are committed to support Tata's Nano project. Wherever they want us to supply, we will supply our components. India is considered a leader in ultra low cost motor segment. We want to ensure that Tata Nano becomes a big success" , Bosch Ltd Managing Director V K Viswanathan said. He also stated that Bosch would supply all the parts for the Nano despite the Singur crisis. When asked if the quality will be compromised due to inflation in the economy, he said, Bosch is doing a lot of research to develop high quality and very innovative products for the Nano. He also stated that Bosch will provide products of the finest quality at the lowest possible price to the Nano project.
