Maruti Suzuki sold 15,832 units of the Vitara Brezza in India in October 2018, creating a new best monthly sales for the sub-4 metre SUV in the domestic market. Also, that’s an impressive Y-o-Y growth of 36%.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza went on sale in March 2016. Costing INR 6.99 lakh* onwards, it was the brand’s first-ever sub-4 metre SUV. In July this year, it became the company’s fastest model to clock 3 lakh units in cumulative sales reaching that milestone in just 28 months. It also holds the title of the country’s best-selling SUV.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza outsells its rivals by a considerable margin. Last month, while the Maruti Vitara Brezza sold 15,832 units, the Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport’s sales stood at 4,608 units and 3,957 units respectively.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,640 in height, with a 2,500 mm wheelbase. Under the hood is the standard D13A 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine that produces 66 kW (90 PS) at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. This FCA-made diesel engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or the 5-speed AGS automated manual transmission. The sub-compact SUV has a fuel economy rating of 24.3 km/l.

Projector headlamps, passive keyless entry, push-start button, 16-inch alloy wheels, power folding mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control and Smart Play infotainment system with GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link are some of the key features of the Maruti Vitara Brezza.
