The Jaguar F-Pace is assembled at JLR India's facility in Pune, where it rolls out 6 models from CKD packs: Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar XE, Jaguar XF, Jaguar XJ and Jaguar F-Pace.

Speaking on the development, Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said:

In the two years since its launch in India, the Jaguar F-PACE has captivated the imagination of Jaguar fans and our discerning customers. With the launch of the locally manufactured Ingenium petrol derivative of the F-PACE, the appeal of our first Jaguar SUV is further enhanced.

The Jaguar F-Pace was launched in India in October 2016 via the CBU route. The SUV was introduced with two engine options - 2.0-litre diesel and 3.0-litre diesel - in Pure, Prestige, and R-Sport trims. At the moment, the luxury model is available in 2.0-litre diesel and petrol variants only. Both models are assembled at the company's Pune-based facility.

Powering the petrol-sipping Jaguar F-Pace is a 2.0-litre Ingenium motor that outputs a maximum power of 184 kW (250 PS) and a peak torque of 365 Nm. Going by the company-claimed figures, the F-Pace is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 217 km/h.

In comparison, the 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine outputs a maximum power of 132 kW (179.47 PS) along with a peak torque of 430 Nm. The diesel variant is claimed to be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 208 km/h. Both the engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
