Land Rover has released a teaser of the 2019 Range Rover Evoque's profile. It will unveil the second generation of the entry-level Range Rover SUV at 7:45 p.m. GMT today (at 01:15 a.m. IST tomorrow) in London. Earlier this month, YouTube user Osama Elahrash and IAB reader Abhinav Suri had spotted the future model's test mules during road testing.

The next-gen Range Rover Evoque is reportedly not arriving with the 3-door variant.

The 2019 Range Rover Evoque will feature an evolutionary design to stay as close as possible to the original cross-coupe introduced in 2010. The second generation model will sport a dramatically rising beltline, a muscular shoulder running the car's length, a distinctive taper to the floating roofline and pronounced wheel arches. Also note the hints of the Range Rover Velar, especially in the headlamps, grille and tail lamps.

Inside, the all-new Range Rover Evoque will sport a Range Rover Velar-inspired dashboard design with the Touch Pro Duo dual-screen infotainment system that debuted in the flagship SUV-coupe last year. A higher roofline will lead to an improved headroom in the second generation model.

The all-new model will ride on Jaguar Land Rover’s new PTA platform. It will have a slightly longer wheelbase (2,660 mm+) that will lead to improved legroom for rear-seat passengers and an expanded boot - something for which the “Evoque XL” was under consideration for the first generation model but eventually ruled out. The PTA offers the opportunity for the Evoque to choose from the newest in-house technologies such as see-through bonnet, smart rear view mirror and electrification options. The new body structure also promises to the make the Evoque's cabin quieter and give it a better ride comfort.

The 2019 Range Rover Evoque’s engine options will include 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol unit in 250 PS and 300 PS outputs and the 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel unit in 150 PS, 180 PS and 240 PS outputs. All engines will send the drive to the wheels via a 9-speed AT. Like the first generation, it will come in FWD and AWD drivetrain layouts. A 1.5-litre petrol engine featuring a 48V mild-hybrid system is under consideration for a later stage.
