Hyundai has introduced wireless phone charger in the Xcent in India. Currently, no other car in the compact sedan segment offers this convenience-enhancing feature.

The Hyundai Xcent is the fifth Hyundai after the Verna, Creta, Elantra and Tucson to offer wireless phone charger. This convenience-enhancing feature is available in only the SX and SX (O) grades. There’s no other new addition to the list of features, and the availability of the existing features has received no changes.
The equipment list of the fully-loaded Hyundai Xcent includes LED DRLs, shark fin antenna, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, passive keyless entry, engine start-stop button and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. On the safety front, ABS with EBD and dual front airbags are standard. More features, including rear parking sensors, rear camera and impact sensing auto door unlock, are available.
The Hyundai Xcent is available with a 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT four-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.2-litre U2 CRDi three-cylinder diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 83 PS at 6,000 rpm and 11.6 kg.m (113.76 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine develops 75 PS at 4,000 rpm and 19.4 kg.m (190.25 Nm) of torque at 1,750-2,250 rpm. It sends the drive to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Hyundai Xcent’s SX grade costs INR 6,94,000* (petrol)/INR 7,87,000* (diesel) when had in solid paint. The sub-4 metre sedan’s SX (O) grade in solid paint retails at INR 7,70,800* (petrol)/INR 8,63,800* (diesel). Metallic paint costs INR 3,612* (petrol)/INR 3,688* (diesel) extra in both the grades.
