Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) has come up with yet another limited edition model to lure new car buyers this festive season. It's the Maruti Wagon R Limited Edition, which follows the limited-run versions of the Baleno, Swift and the Ignis.
The Maruti Wagon R Limited Edition comes as an accessory pack that comprises a range of new features, which are dealer-level fitments.
The additional features on offer include a Pioneer double-DIN Bluetooth-enabled music system, reverse parking sensors, seat covers with cushion set, body decals, rear spoiler and an interior styling kit. They are available through two accessories kits, which cost INR 15,490 and INR 25,490, respectively, much lower than the market price.
Mechanically, the tallboy remains unchanged. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 68 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 90 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, but an AMT is available optionally in select trims. The car's ARAI-certified fuel economy rating is 20.51 km/l.
Speaking on the launch of the Maruti WagonR Limited Edition, R. S. Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (M&S), Maruti Suzuki India Limited said,

The Maruti Wagon R has been on sale in a price range of INR 4.14 - 5.35 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Gurgaon). With an average monthly sales of 14,183 (April - September 2018), the tallboy has been the best-selling model in its segment. The launch of the Maruti Wagon R Limited Edition accessory pack should help the manufacturer benefit from the surge in sales of new cars during the festive period.
