The Hero Destini 125 was showcased at a dealership conference in August. The scooter was displayed as the Hero Duet 125 at the Auto Expo 2018. However, it was later rechristened as the Destini 125. The Destini 125 will compete with the likes of Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125, and the Vespa LX 125.

Unlike the Maestro Edge 125, which is targeted towards younger customers, the Hero Destini 125 will be positioned as a unisex family scooter. It comes equipped with Hero’s i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology, which aids in returning higher fuel efficiency. The two-wheeler will feature an all-metal body, boot light, outer fuel-filler cap, and mobile charging port.

The Hero Destini 125 will be available in four paint options - Noble Red, Chestnut Bronze, Panther Black and Pearl Silver White. The scooter comes equipped with Integrated Braking System, dual-tone mirrors, semi-digital instrument cluster with service due indicator, and tubeless tires. Suspension responsibilities are taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and spring-loaded hydraulic damper at the back.

The Hero Destini 125 sources power from a 124.6 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, Energy Boost engine that churns out a maximum power of 8.70 bhp at 6,750 rpm while generating 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm, mated to a CVT gearbox. The Destini 125 is expected to be launched at a price of circa INR 52,000 (ex-showroom).

The Hero Destini will come shod with 10-inch alloy wheels at the front and back that wrap with 90/100-section tubeless tires. Braking power is provided by 130 mm drum brakes at both the ends. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 litres.
