The 2018 Datsun GO and 2018 Datsun GO+ will go on sale in India on 9 October 2018. Here's the first video clip from Youtube user Mo Tron showing the facelifted model in the wild.

The new Datsun GO and new Datsun GO+ have a more angular front-end with the tweaked headlamps, more aggressive bumper and sharper lower air intake. The grille features a new pattern, and there’s an addition of vertical LED DRLs in the bumper.

Unlike the Indonesian-spec version, it doesn’t sport a stylish body kit or have fins beside the LED DRLs. There's one more difference and that's on the sides. Datsun apparently won’t offer ORVMs with integrated turn signals here. The new 14-inch alloy wheels are in the same design as in Indonesia. At the rear, the company has added a wiper.

Inside, the 2018 Datsun GO and 2018 Datsun GO+ will feature redesigned dashboard with a lockable glovebox, new centre console, revised instrument panel with a tachometer and a touchscreen infotainment system that will likely offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. On the safety front, the updated models could feature driver airbag, speed alert system and driver and co-driver SBR as standard to adhere to the new safety norms applicable from July 2019.

The 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68 PS at 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm will likely remain as is. It sends power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The CVT option available in Indonesia is highly unlikely for our market because of cost concerns, but Datsun could consider an AMT.
