Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched a new special edition of the Verna C2-segmenter to commemorate its 1st anniversary. Dubbed as the Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition, the new model is based on the SX(O) trim. Prices start at INR 11,69,413. Only 1,000 copies will be made.
The Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition is available in two paint options - Marina Blue and Polar White. The interior gets an all-black treatment, which is a departure from the beige-black cabin colour theme on the regular variants. The limited-run model will offer a handful of additional features, including a wireless phone charging pod, a rear spoiler, black ORVMs, black shark fin antennae, brushed aluminium-finished skid plates, and blue interior accents. Other highlights of the equipment list comprise an electric sunroof and ventilated front seats.
The new model is available with two engine options - 1.6-litre petrol that outputs 123 PS and 151.022 Nm, and 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel that produces 128 PS and 258.90 Nm. Transmission options for the petrol engine variant include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The diesel engine variant is available with a 6-speed manual transmission only.

The new Hyundai Verna was launched in August 2017. With an average monthly sales figure of 3,773 units (March 2018 - August 2018), the Honda City- and Maruti Ciaz-rivalling model has been one of the top-sellers in its segment. The Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition should help its manufacturer attract the new car buyers during the fast-approaching festive season.
