The launch of the new Hyundai Santro will take place in October-November to mark the culmination of the company's new 'Brilliant Moments' marketing campaign.

Late last month, Hyundai India launched a new campaign titled 'Brilliant Moments' commemorating 20 years in the market. Speaking to afaqs about the campaign, Puneet Anand, Sr. GM & Group Head - Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd, said -

The Brilliant Moments campaign will last for four months and will culminate with the launch of a very important and awaited Contemporary Family Car - AH2 (code name) during the festival season.

Based on the fact that Hyundai released the first video for the campaign towards the end of June, the launch of the new hatchback will take place towards the end of October. This is in agreement with Hyundai's earlier announcement that the new model will arrive in the second half of 2018.

IAB reader Dheeraj Gupta has shared spy shots of the Hyundai AH2 (new Hyundai Santro) earlier this week. The test mule is finished in the 'Star Dust' paint shade that is part of the colour palette of multiple Hyundai products.

These spy shots, like the ones shared in the past, reveal a tall-boy design, which should translate to generous headroom for the occupants and easier ingress and egress. It rides on steel rims with plastic wheel covers raising doubts over the availability of alloy wheels.

Hyundai recently commented on the official name of the AH2. The company is running a poll that lets customers vote for their name of choice. A favourable number of votes for 'Santro' will lead to the revival of the nameplate in India.
