It has a 211 mm ground clearance (standard) and weighs in at 1,684-1,733 kgs.

The Volvo XC40 will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3, and the BMW X1. The sole, fully-loaded R-Design will carry an estimated price tag of INR 40-44 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Swedish car maker has registered more than 80,000 orders for the XC40 so far. The vehicle was crowned European Car of the Year 2018 beating the Seat Ibiza and the BMW 5-Series.
