Royal Enfield releases 3 new videos promoting the RE Himalayan

Royal Enfield has launched three promotional videos of its adventure motorcycle, the Royal Enfield Himalayan on YouTube.

The 30-second videos show the Royal Enfield Himalayan going over on sand terrain, rocky trails, and tarmac. The bikes shown in the promo videos are the Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet Edition. The cult motorcycle maker launched the limited-edition Sleet variant in January, this year. All the 500 units have been sold out. The bike features twin hard lockable panniers with saddle stays; ice camo paint job; braced handlebars; and a crash guard. The panniers have a capacity of 26 litres each.

Apart from the accessories, the bike is the same as the existing Himalayan. Powering the motorcycle is a single cylinder 411 cc SOHC mill. With fuel injection, the engine generates 24.5 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm, and 32 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. A 5-speed transmission does duty in the motorcycle. The engine nestles inside a half-duplex split cradle frame.

For suspension, the motorcycle employs 41 mm telescopic front fork, and a rear monoshock with linkage. A 300 mm front and a 240 mm rear disc handle the braking responsibility. Compared to the normal variant, the Sleet is approximately INR 28,000 more expensive, at INR 2,12,666, on-road, Chennai.
