KTM 250 Duke special edition launched in Thailand

The KTM 250 Duke Special Edition has been launched in Thailand for THB 179,900 (approximately INR 3.73 lakhs).

The bike will appeal the youth who are looking for a creative twist in their performance motorcycle.

The bike was showcased at the 2018 Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand. The KTM 250 Duke Special Edition features a funky graphics on the bodywork, and multicoloured rim stickers. The headlight assembly is sleeker, and is reminiscent of the 690 Duke. In the Thailand market, the bike has not undergone a generational design change like the one in India. The handlebar features hand-guards, and the indicators are LED. The digital instrumentation is similar to the one in the Indian model.

The instrument cluster features gear position indicator, shift light, fuel gauge and service reminder apart from speedometer and tachometer.

The bike comes with engine protection bars with frame sliders as well. Powering the motorcycle is a 248.8 cc single cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. Pairing with a 6-speed gearbox, the mill makes 29.91 PS of power and 24 Nm of torque. The trellis frame rides on WP upside-down front fork and WP monoshock at the rear. The alloy wheels are shod with 110-section front and 150-section rear rubber. In the Thai market, one of its primary competitors would be the Kawasaki Z250, which is THB 25,900 less expensive, at THB 154,000 (approximately INR 3.19 lakhs).
