The riding position is likely to be sporty yet comfortable, thanks to the raised clip-ons.

Haojue is the partner company of Suzuki in China which manufactures and sells Suzuki two-wheelers in the country, apart from their own models. The media site reports that the upcoming 2019 Suzuki GSX-S300 may be partly or entirely based on the HJ300. Going by the leaked patent images, the bike employs a parallel twin mill, which is reportedly based on Suzuki’s quarter-litre range like DL250, GW250 and GSX250R.

However, the engine is not exactly the same, and the bottom portion of the powertrain has been reportedly redesigned and may feature an overhauled balancer shaft. The engine is likely to have a 299 cc two / four-valve, parallel twin SOHC configuration, reports the website. The cycle parts include upside down front fork, and a rear monoshock. Brakes include discs on both ends, with ABS.

The engine will reportedly be Euro 4 compliant.

The design of the bike is reminiscent of the Suzuki GSX-S750, complete with muscular tank shrouds, fat rear tyre and meaty exhaust. The lighting system appears to be an all-LED affair, and instrumentation is likely to be a digital unit. The Chinese version, HJ300-A will reportedly be launched next year. Suzuki may bring about the GSX-S300 and perhaps its faired iteration GSX-R300 under its 2019 models, according to the news site. Its India launch is unlikely owing to cost constraints, at least as of now. However, the Japanese brand will be launching its second CKD product GSX-S750 soon in the Indian market.
