New details on 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga) published by Indonesian media

Suzuki gave the Indonesian media a test drive of the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga) at the Cikarang Plant recently, reports Ertiga Club Indonesia. Here are the changes that were revealed during the event.

As expected, the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga is longer and wider than the outgoing model. The length and width have increased by 13 cm and 4 cm respectively. In terms of design, the all-new model nearly identical to the renderings floating on the web. Its front-end is similar to that of the Toyota Innova Crysta, while its rear-end, including the L-shaped tail lights, looks almost like that of the Mitsubishi Xpander.

Inside, the next-gen Suzuki Ertiga has individually foldable rear seats. The space for the rear-seat passengers has improved, although no figures relevant to this aspect are available yet. Push-button start is included in the list of features. Under the hood is a new 1.5-litre petrol engine, which replaces the K14B 1.4-litre petrol engine. Suzuki will offer both manual and automatic transmissions. The company will unveil the redesigned model at IIMS 2018 on the 19th of this month.

The 2018 Maruti Ertiga’s launch will take place this August. Along with the aforementioned new 1.5L petrol engine, it could come with the new 1.5L diesel engine developed by Suzuki.
