2018 Honda Amaze updated on HCIL website

The 2018 Honda Amaze made its global debut at the Auto Expo earlier this year in February. HCIL is all set to launch the second generation Honda Amaze in May. The Maruti Dzire rival has been listed on the official website while the outgoing model has now been removed.

The official webpage also lets interested buyers access a brochure. However, it does not reveal any details regarding the specifications of the New Honda Amaze. It reiterates the presence of Honda's DIGIPAD 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto And Apple CarPlay support, automatic air conditioning, engine start/stop button, request sensor for keyless entry, electrically adjustable and electric folding ORVM, LED position lamps, rear parking sensors with camera, fog lamps, and alloy wheels.

As revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo, the second gen Honda Amaze features the 1.2 L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel engines as its predecessor. This time around both variants get an optional automatic gearbox (CVT). The automatic variants will also get paddle shifters, which become a segment-first feature.

Design-wise, the new Honda Amaze borrows heavily from the latest iterations of the Honda City, Honda Civic, and Honda Accord.

Expect prices to start at around INR 5.70 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the entry-level petrol trim. Bookings are already underway and the Maruti Dzire challenger will be at dealer yards next month.
