The second-gen Audi RS 5 Coupe will indirectly mark the arrival of the second-gen Audi A5 Coupe in India. The RS variant is visually differentiated from the regular variant (unavailable in India) with styling and aerodynamic enhancements.

At the front, the 2018 Audi RS 5 Coupe sports a much wider and flatter Singleframe featuring the quattro logo along the bottom, massive air inlets with RS honeycomb structure, additional lateral air intakes and outlets next to the Matrix LED headlights with tinted bezels and RS bumper with a blade in contrasting colour.

On the sides, the 15 mm wider wheel arches house 19- or 20-inch wheels and the ORVM housings are in matte aluminium look/carbon/black/body colour. At the rear, an RS-specific diffuser insert, oval tailpipes of the RS exhaust system, surface-mounted spoiler lip in black/carbon and vertical air outlets on the outer edges of the LED rear lights are among the highlights.

The 2018 Audi RS 5 Coupe measures 4,723 mm in length, 1,861 mm in width and 1,360 mm in height. Compared to its predecessor, it is 74 mm longer, 1 mm wider and 6 mm lower. Its wheelbase, at 2,766 mm, is 15 mm longer. The kerb weight has reduced by 60 kg to 1,655 kg. An available carbon roof with visible fibre structure helps save an additional 3 kg.

The all-new Audi RS 5 Coupe employs a downsized, 2.5-litre TFSI twin-turbo V6 petrol engine co-developed with Porsche. This engine puts out 450 PS at 5,700-,6700 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 1,900-5,000 rpm. The 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission and the quattro permanent AWD system with self-locking centre differential are standard. A rear sport differential with RS-specific tuning for a more dynamic response when cornering and accelerating is optional.
