Aravind Jayachandran, It goes without saying that I'm a huge petrolhead and can apparently convert all my driving emotions into words you can read.

The Toyota Yaris sedan measures 4.2 metres in length, 1.7 metres in width and 1.5 metres in height. It has a 2.6-metre wheelbase. Internationally it is available with a 1.2-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine, a 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine. The Indian-spec version is likely to have a 1.5-litre petrol engine under the hood. Toyota should offer it with a 5-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable transmission. A diesel engine option is unlikely at launch.
On the outside, the sedan features projector headlamps with LED light guiding, LED DRLs and 15-inch alloy wheels. For the interior, Toyota has used a two-tone beige-black colour scheme in the Indian-spec version. Several features like large touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and DVD player, automatic climate control, digital driver information display and multifunction steering wheel are visible in the image below.
The Toyota Yaris will compete with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Honda City in India. Toyota will reportedly launch the new sedan in April this year.
