Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Saloon at Auto Expo 2018. The top-of-the-line Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Saloon costs INR 2.73 crore (ex-showroom India).

The Mercedes-Maybach S 650 employs a 6.0-litre biturbo V12 petrol engine that develops 630 hp at 5,000 rpm and 1,000 Nm of torque at 2,300-4,200 rpm. This is the brand's first EU6 petrol available in India. A 7-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels. The most powerful Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Saloon can sprint from nought to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. Like the Mercedes-Maybach S 560, though, it maxes out at 250 km/h.

Most features in the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Saloon are the same as in the Mercedes-Maybach S 560 Saloon. These include new triple-torch design Multibeam LED headlamps with Ultra Range high beam, Intelligent Light System and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, adaptive brake lights, Aromatic suspension system, power rear seats with memory function, power driver’s seat with memory function, Chauffeur package, Seat heating Plus for all passenger seats, Air Balance package, rear-seat entertainment system, Comand Online (NTG5.5) infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and multicolour ambient lighting with 64 colours and 10 moods.

In addition to the aforementioned and many other common features, the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Saloon gets 19-inch multispoke alloy wheels in vanadium silver, Magic Vision Control adaptive windscreen wiper system, head-up display and V12 badges on the fenders and the seats.

Exclusive wheels in 19- and 20-inch sizes, panoramic sliding sunroof with Magic Sky Control, Energizing comfort control for maintaining and improving passenger’s wellness on the go, Night View Assist Plus feature which enables drivers to detect pedestrians or larger animals ahead, folding tables in the rear, refrigerated compartment, silver-plated champagne flutes and First-Class rear suite with individual rear seats and a Business centre console are available optionally.
