Honda has brought back the CBR250R with a BS-IV compliant engine. Additionally, for 2018 the Japanese brand has also endowed the bike with new LED headlamp; new graphics, and two new colours: Mars Orange and Striking Green in addition to the Pearl Sports Yellow; Sports Red and Vibrant Orange (Repsol). The bike still comes in the same VFR-inspired design language.

Powering the 2018 Honda CBR250R is a single cylinder 249.6 cc engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant makes 26.5 PS at 8,500 rpm, and 22.9 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Pairing with the engine is a 6-speed transmission. The cycle parts remain the same as the previous generation bike, with telescopic front fork and a rear Pro Link Monoshock. The 17-inch alloys are shod with 110-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres.

Brakes include 296 mm front and a 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Expect Honda to announce the price for the 2018 CBR250R in the weeks ahead.

For 2018, the Honda CB Hornet 160R features new LED headlamp, a first in the segment. It also now comes with ABS option; and this makes the Hornet the second Honda bike to feature ABS. Apart from these changes, the bike also gets new graphics, blue back-lit instrumentation and hazard lamps function. The 2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R is available in a new Dazzle Yellow Metallic colour, in addition to existing colours. The bike will be available for sale in 4 variants - Standard, CBS, ABS and ABS Deluxe.

The mechanicals are unchanged, with traditional front fork, and a rear monoshock. The 162.71 cc single cylinder HET mill is good for 15.25 PS at 8,500 rpm; and 14.76 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine works in conjunction with a 5-speed gearbox. The addition of LED headlamp will conserve more power and result in better battery life.
