After the Renault Kaptur, which we know as the Renault Captur in India, Renault plans to unveil another crossover in Russia. A new report from Vedomosti says that the company will introduce a coupe crossover in the country this year.

The Renault coupe-crossover will utilise the Renault Duster's B0/Logan platform as its basis.

As a part of its Drive The Future mid-term plan, Renault will expand its market coverage in Russia with four new models. The Renault coupe-crossover will arrive as the first of these new models, three sources familiar with development have said. Denis Le Vot, Senior V.P., Chairman of Eurasia Region, Groupe Renault has confirmed that this model will debut at the 2018 Moscow International Motor Show in August.

The Renault Kaptur is positioned above the Renault Duster, which has a rather traditional SUV design. The Renault coupe-crossover will slot above the Renault Kaptur as a sportier alternative. There’s no word on the new model’s specifications or features yet.

Production of the Renault coupe-crossover will take place at Renault's Moscow plant. The company will offer the coupe-crossover in other emerging markets like Brazil and China as well. We expect the company to offer a CMF-B platform-based version of this model with a near-identical design in Europe. Speaking about the future model last year, Thierry Bollore, Chief Competitive Officer, Groupe Renault, said:

It’s a C-SUV to meet crossover fragmentation with worldwide deployment and leveraging our dual-spec platform strategy.
