The fourth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe will make its global debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Based on spy shots and past reports, the new Hyundai Santa Fe will have an exterior inspired by the Hyundai Kona, specifically the unconventional headlamp setup. Like all new Hyundai products, the Santa Fe too will get the signature cascading grille. It will be bigger than the outgoing model.

According to an official Hyundai release, the new generation Santa Fe will come with Hyundai’s latest active safety features under the Smart Sense technology umbrella. It includes something called Rear Occupant Alert, which monitors the rear seats to detect passengers and alerts the driver when leaving the car. The Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning now features an automated braking function. The system warns the driver and applies the brakes automatically to avoid the risk of collision when reversing out of narrow areas with limited visibility.

Design wise, the new Santa Fe will get the twin headlamp setup created by slim LED DRLs on the top and LED headlights placed in the bumper.

According to report from August 2017, the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe will come with 2.0-litre petrol, 2.0-litre diesel, and 2.2-litre diesel engines, as well as a 1.7-litre diesel engine with mild-hybrid tech in South Korea. Transmission choices will include 6-speed automatic and 8-speed automatic.
