Though BMW’s Facebook page hinted at the bike’s launch in the coming weeks, Dimitris Raptis, BMW Motorrad Asia, China, Pacific and South Africa sales confirmed that the BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS will enter our market in the second half of this year. The BMW G 310 R and the TVS Apache RR 310 share a lot of mechanical underpinnings with each other. TVS manufactures the two motorcycles at its plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. However, the Apache RR 310 is feature-rich, thanks to the inclusion of LED lighting system; multifunction instrument cluster; aerodynamic fairing, and a tuned engine. The RR 310 costs INR 2.05 lakhs, ex-showroom, and varies from state to state. Expect the G 310 R to command a premium owing to the badge value. The dynamics of the Bavarian bike is likely to be more relaxed when compared to the sporty Apache RR 310.
