The video features Carl Fogarty, a four-time World Superbike Championship winner and Gary Johnson, a two-time Isle Of Man TT winner, each riding a 2018 Triumph Speed Triple. The RS badging is visible on the two motorcycles, and they also seem to sport Arrow aftermarket end cans, which could be homologated. The bike will feature updated TFT instrument cluster, like the new Street Triple. The alloy wheels are different, with five spoke design. The headlights have LED DRL, the indicators and the tail light are LED as well. The overall silhouette remains the same as the current Speed Triple.

The current generation Triumph Speed Triple R employs a 1,050cc inline-three DOHC engine with liquid cooling. It punches out 140 PS at 9500 rpm and 112 Nm at 7,850 rpm. The powerplant mates with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. Expect Triumph to tune the engine with more power in the RS version. The bike was spotted testing in October, last year.
