2018 Honda CBR150R launched in Indonesia

Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has launched the 2018 Honda CBR150R in Indonesia. The 2018 iteration comes in two new colours- Matte Black and Victory Black Red.

The bike's main rival is the Yamaha R15 v3.0.

The two new colours add to the already-existing Repsol Edition and the Racing Red colour variant. The new colour variants cost IDR 32,975,000; the Racing Red costs 33,675,000, while the Repsol Edition will set you back by IDR 33,875,000. All prices are On The Road, Jakarta. Apart from the new colours, the bike remains the same.

The 2018 Honda CBR150R is designed on the concept of ‘Total Control’, with sporty riding position and a performance-oriented styling to match. The lighting system is all-LED and the instrumentation is fully digital. It uses a 150 cc single cylinder DOHC mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant is good for 17.1 PS and 14.4 Nm. Based on Euro 3 testing method, the bike returns 39.72 km/l.

The motorcycle rides on telescopic front fork and a Pro-Link monoshock at the rear. The bike tips the scales at 135 kg, kerb. As per the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), throughout 2017 the new Honda CBR150R clocked 72,219 units. This model became the best-selling 150cc sport bike nationwide with 48% market share in the segment.
