Prices of the aforementioned products will increase by up to 3%. Renault has cited rising input and freight costs as the primary reasons for the price hike. The Renault Captur launched last month has not been included in the list of models that will get more expensive January 2018 onwards, however.

As per the company's official website, the Renault Kwid has a starting price of INR 2.62 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) currently. The Kwid range tops out at INR 4.55 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Climber AMT variant.

Renault offers the Kwid with a choice of two engines - a 3-cylinder 799 cc 54 PS petrol and a 3-cylinder 999 cc 68 PS petrol engine. While both engines are paired with a 5-speed manual as standard, the latter can also be had with a 5-speed Easy-R AMT.
