A red colour variant of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has been spotted testing in Pune. But going by the camouflage, it is unclear whether it is just a new colour variant or an updated version of the bike.

It could be possible that the brand is testing the 2018 iteration of the RS200.

The tank and fairing design of the bike seem identical to the existing RS200. So do the rear fender, tail section, and the rear tyre hugger. The engine casing seems to be akin to the current RS200, thereby eliminating the possibility of having a bigger engine.

The middle portion of the bodywork and the alloys are in red. Red accents are visible in the tail section as well. Bajaj earlier sold the red colour variant of the RS200, but it was discontinued. At present, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is available only in two colours: Racing Blue and Graphite Black.

A single-channel ABS is an option in this motorcycle.

The RS200 draws power from a 199.5 cc single cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The mill is good for 24.5 PS at 9,750 rpm, and 18.6 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The powerplant mates with a 6-speed transmission. Suspension bits include telescopic front fork and a rear Nitrox monoshock.

For braking, the motorcycle employs 300 mm front and a 230 mm rear disc, with single channel ABS as an option. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 costs INR 1,23,891 for the non-ABS version, and 1,35,795 for the ABS variant, both ex-showroom, Delhi. It competes with KTM RC 200 in its segment.
