Mahindra Scorpio 2017 facelift spotted at dealer yard
This will be the current generation Scorpio's first facelift since its introduction in September 2014.

The most noticeable change is the new seven-slat grille that has been inspired by the Mahindra Imperio pickup. The new grille is accompanied by slight modifications of the air intake towards the lower end of the bumper and circular fog lamps with chrome surrounds. The side profile remains identical to the current model. The only change here is the turn signal switching its position from the faux air vent on the front fender to the ORVM. At the back, the number plate area has been reprofiled and now features chrome applique housing the Mahindra insignia. The rear windshield wiper is now a beam-style unit. Clear lens tail lamp units have been replaced by red tinted ones. However, the LED  graphics remain unchanged.

Previous spy shots of the Mahindra Scorpio facelift have revealed new seat upholstery. The cabin of the Scorpio is also expected to gain a new 7-inch touchscreen with EcoSense, Connected Apps, and Andriod Auto functionality. However, the latter will not be available at the time of launch.

In its latest avatar, the Mahindra Scorpio will produce more power and torque. The 2.2 L mHawk diesel's output will rise up to 140 hp and 330 Nm from the current figures of 120 hp and 280 Nm. The engine will now be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission replacing the older 5-speed unit. Automatic variants with a 6-speed Aisin sourced transmission are likely to be introduced as well.
