The design language of the Benelli Imperiale 400 evokes an authentic old-school feel, thanks to the circular headlamp, spoke wheels, teardrop fuel tank and comfortable ergonomics. Benelli filed the trademark for the Imperiale brand in September.

The Benelli Imperiale 400 employs a 373.5cc single cylinder SOHC engine with air cooling and fuel injection. It generates 19 PS of power at 5,500 rpm, and 28 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The Euro 4 engine works in tandem with a 5-speed transmission.

Telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorber hold the steel double cradle frame. For braking, the motorcycle comes with disc on both ends with dual channel ABS as standard. The twin pod analogue instrument cluster comes with a digital inset. There’s also a vertical digital screen between the two pods, which is likely to display the fuel level. The fuel tank can hold 12 litres of juice, and the motorcycle weighs 200 kg, kerb.

It was reported in July that Benelli is working on a 300-400cc motorcycle specifically for the Indian market. It could be possible that this motorcycle will make its way to our shores. Expect DSK Benelli to showcase the bike at the 2018 Auto Expo in India. The motorcycle locks horns with the Royal Enfield Bullet 650, and the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
