2018 Suzuki Vitara launched in Philippines

Suzuki Philippines has launched the 2018 Suzuki Vitara in the country with prices starting from PHP 938,000 for the GL+ variant, and PHP 1,048,000 for the GLX version.

The 2018 Suzuki Vitara measures 4,175 mm in length; 1,775 mm in width, and 1,610 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,500 mm. The GLX variant is the top-end model, which gets vertical LED DRLs and 17-inch alloy wheels. The GL and GL+ variants come with 16-inch steel wheels.

On the inside, the GLX variant boasts of suede/ leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof as well. The other two variants come with fabric seats. Infotainment system includes Bluetooth, navigation, USB port; and a 7-inch touchscreen. The GLX model gets a 10-inch unit, with Mirrorlink and Wi-Fi capabilities.

Powering all 2018 Suzuki Vitara variants is a 1,586cc M16A in-line four-cylinder engine with VVT. The powerplant puts out 115 HP at 6,000 rpm, and 156 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. The mill mates with a 6-speed automatic transmission in a front wheel drive layout. Cruise control is standard on all the variants.

Coming to the safety department, the Vitara gets dual front airbags (side and curtain airbags for GLX); ABS with EBD; ESP; hill hold control; immobilizer, and keyless entry. The GLX variant is available in three two-tone colours; while the GL & GL+ come in 5 colours.

Suzuki is testing a facelift for the Vitara which is expected to come out internationally early next year.
