Mahindra KUV100 NXT launched in India, priced from INR 4.39 lakh

Mahindra has launched the Mahindra KUV100 NXT in India, with prices starting at INR 4.39 lakh*. The KUV100 NXT is the facelifted model of the KUV100 that was launched last year.

The Mahindra KUV100 NXT features a number of styling changes on the outside. At the front, the facelift brings new aggressive front grille, more muscular bumper with silver skid plate, tweaked headlamps with LED DRLs and new fog lamps with black bezel surrounds. On the sides, the KUV100 NXT gets new 15-inch diamond-cut two-tone alloy wheels, mirrors with integrated turn indicators, new flared wheel arches with wheel cladding and new door and sill cladding. At the rear, the first major update to the hatchback brings clear lens tail lamps, redesigned tailgate and new roof spoiler with ‘Aero’ corners.

Inside, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT has a black colour scheme, new seat fabric design & colour, improved seat bolstering, new instrument cluster illumination and a fresh centre console design. Mahindra has introduced a number of new technologies in the new model. The long list of these tech features include power folding function for the exterior mirrors, electrically operable tailgate latch, Intellipark reverse parking sensors, remote boot opening key, new driver information system with voice alerts, gearshift alerts, new temperature control panel and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation.

The Mahindra KUV100 NXT is 3,700 mm long, 1,735 mm wide and 1,655 mm tall. It is 25 mm longer and 30 mm wider than the Mahindra KUV100. The engine options are the same as before: 1.2L mFalcon G80 petrol and 1.2L mFalcon D75 diesel. The petrol engine produces 82 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. The diesel engine develops 77 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Mahindra says that it has reduced the engine noise for a quieter drive. A 5-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels. An automatic transmission option will follow in 5-6 months’ time.

The Mahindra KUV100 NXT is available in K2/K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8 grades. Prices range from INR 4,39,000-7,42,648*.
