The updated tail lamp cluster will get a tinted red cover. The Mahindra Scorpio facelift is expected to arrive before the end of this year.

The Mahindra Scorpio facelift will get an updated tail lamp cluster ditching the clear lens design of the current model. The rear wiper in these spy shots appears to be identical to the current model, but previous spy shots have revealed the switch to the premium beam type unit. The 'Intelli-Hybrid' badge remains as this could be an old prototype. After GST, Mahindra has decided to give the technology a miss.

The presence of wheel covers indicates that this particular unit is a lower level trim of the Scorpio. Up front, the Scorpio facelift will gain a new bumper with round fog lamp units and an Imperio-like toothed grille. New alloy wheels will also be a part of the updates to the  Scorpio.

The Scorpio is likely to gain connectivity apps introduced on the XUV500 including the Connected Apps suite, Ecosense, and Emergency Call function. Android Auto will find its way to the Scorpio as well, but at a later stage according to report published in August.
