Renault India launched the Renault Duster Sandstorm edition this month. Here are the special edition model’s images from a dealership, courtesy Autobics.
The Renault Duster Sandstorm has nine new exterior enhancements over the standard model for a more adventurous styling. It features black front grille, new matt black front armour with “Duster” branding & lamps, “Sandstorm” decals on the hood, doors, tailgate and ORVMs and 16-inch Zodiac machined alloy wheels. Inside, the special edition Duster gets black & grey colour scheme, dual-tone Sandstorm-themed upholstery with contrast stitching, gearbox bellow with contrast stitching, centre console with dark chrome finish, gloss black door trim decorative strip & grab handles and black door handles.
The Renault Duster Sandstorm is 4,336 mm long, 1,822 mm wide and 1,687 mm tall (with roof rails). It is available only in the diesel engine models. The base model has the K9K 1.5-litre engine good for 85 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The top-spec model has a more potent version of the same engine, delivering 110 PS and 245 Nm of torque. The 85 PS version is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, while the 110 PS version is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Duster Sandstorm edition’s certified fuel economy is rated at 20 km/l.

The Renault Duster Sandstorm edition is based on the Renault Duster RxS. It retails at INR 10,90,400 (ex-showroom Delhi) with the 85 PS 1.5L dCi engine and at INR 11,70,400 (ex-showroom Delhi) with the 110 PS 1.5L dCi engine. It comes in three colour choices: Moonlight Silver, Outback Bronze and Slate Grey.
