Verna-based Hyundai Reina launched in China

Beijing-Hyundai JV unveiled the fourth-gen Hyundai Verna-based Hyundai Reina at the 2017 Chongqing Motor Show in June. At the 2017 Chengdu Motor Show last week, the company announced that it is now accepting pre-orders for the car. Here are the car's live images from the show, courtesy bitauto.com.

Hyundai has listed the Hyundai Reina in seven configurations. Created using the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, the new economy sedan is 4,300 mm long, 1,705 mm wide and 1,460 mm tall, and its wheelbase spans a length of 2,570 mm. The Reina has a storage space of 475 litres. Under the hood, there's the 1.4-litre D-CVVT petrol engine that produces 70 kW (93.83 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 132.4 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Sunroof, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 14-inch alloy wheels, front armrest, engine auto start/stop, 4-way height-adjustable driver's seat, driver seat armrest, 8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife and steering-mounted audio controls are some of the key features of the Hyundai Reina.

Hyundai is yet to release the prices of the Reina, but reports suggest pricing in the range of CNY 50,000-80,000 (INR 4,80,468.43-7,68,749.48). Don't expect the Hyundai Reina to arrive in India, as it is a China-only model.
