Skoda India has started accepting bookings for the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo edition. The launch is confirmed to unfold this month.
The Monte Carlo will come in a red exterior colour with gloss black finish on the grill, outside rear view mirrors and the roof. It will also get smoked headlamps, gloss-black spoiler lip and a rear diffuser which enhance the sportiness. The car will ride on new dual-tone alloy wheels.

Coming to the interior, the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo will feature sporty looking leather wrapped steering wheel with red stitching. The seats will be draped in a shade of black, red and white, in line with the international Monte Carlo editions. The red stitching can be observed on the gear shifter cover too. The AC vent surroundings get a black finish, which complements the interior. Another notable feature is the sporty aluminium pedals.
Mechanically, the Monte Carlo should have the same configurations as the Rapid models sold currently. 1.5L diesel and 1.6L petrol engines paired to five-speed, six-speed and seven-speed transmissions are currently on offer. Expect more product details in the forthcoming weeks.
One can book the Monte Carlo via Skoda's official website. Skoda will also launch its performance offering, the Octavia RS, by the end of this month. Bookings for the performance sedan is also open.
