Maruti Suzuki has shared the revised price list of the new Maruti Dzire (read our review here) on their website following the implementation of the new GST rates. Prices now range between INR 5.43 Lakhs - INR 9.39 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Prices have been slashed by INR 4,063 for the new Dzire, attracting 28+1 percent tax for the petrol variants and 28+3 percent tax for diesel models. It may not be a significant price reduction that bigger, more expensive cars are receiving, but that's not going to deter demand for the new Dzire. By May 25, Maruti recorded over 44,000 bookings for Dzire, and it currently has a 15-week waiting period.

The new Dzire is available with two engine options: 1.2-litre VVT petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS 180 diesel. The four-cylinder petrol engine makes 61 kW (81.77 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm, while the diesel motor produces 55 kW (73.73 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The certified mileage stand at 22.0 km/L (petrol) and 28.4 km/l (diesel).
