The talking point of the 2017 Skoda Octavia is its quad-headlamp setup with LED lighting which Skoda calls "Quadra-LED Headlamps". Other than that, the upper and lower grille, bumpers, fog lamps and tail lamps have received subtle revisions. Along with the headlamps, the tail lamps, fog lamps and turn indicators too have LED lighting.

Stepping inside, a new three-spoke steering wheel and the new 8-inch Amundsen touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are seen. Ambient lighting with ten selectable colours add to the premium look of cabin. The new model gains automatic parking feature using which the driver can hand over the parallel/perpendicular parking task to the car.

The Skoda Octavia has received a few mechanical changes with the mid-cycle update. The 1.4-litre TSI petrol (147 hp/250 Nm), 1.8-litre TSI petrol (177 hp/250 Nm) and 2.0-litre TDI diesel (141 hp/320 Nm) units continue as the engine options. The 1.8L engine model's rear track width has increased by 30 mm, and the same of the other two engine models has increased by 20 mm.
