2018 Ford Endeavour/2018 Ford Everest (facelift) spied testing for the first time

Will get a facelifted front fascia and new equipment.

Car Advice has acquired spy shots of a Ford Everest (Ford Endeavour in India) that has its front-end wrapped up, suggesting that the mid-cycle facelift has started tests. The reenergized SUV could rollout in APAC and Africa, including India, next year.

The test mule only has the front-end covered up, hinting that a majority of the changes will be made to the fenders and plastics to give it a wider stance and more robust look. It's quite hard to tell what has exactly has changed, but it seems that the facelifted Everest will borrow cues from the Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Australian version could get an updated ACC (adaptive cruise control) with autonomous emergency braking, as seen in the new radar/LIDAR module in the front bumper and stereo cameras mounted in front of the IRVM.

It could also feature unlock request buttons on the door handles and start/stop button for keyless entry, given that most of its rivals have the feature. Car Advice also reports that Ford could tune the powertrain for better refinement and fuel economy. Electrification may not be an option in the current generation.

In India, the Ford Endeavour was recently updated to include the 8.0 inch SYNC 3 infotainment system. It's currently priced between INR 25.49 lakh - INR 31.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Endeavour can be had with a 2.2L four-cylinder TDCi capable of 160 PS (118 kW/157.75 hp) and 385 Nm of torque or a 3.2L five-cylinder TDCi capable of 200 PS (147 kW/197.18 hp) and 470 Nm of torque. Both variants are paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard. Abroad, buyers get the option of a 2.0L Ecoboost petrol engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
